How TPS Helps

TPS helps Akubra in their hat-making process by providing high-accuracy instruments that produce consistent water quality measurement results.

During wet processes like dyeing, blocking, or stiffening, pH plays a key role in:

  • Colour uptake and consistency - the incorrect pH level can cause patchy or uneven colours.
  • Chemical treatment performance - stiffeners and finishes may only activate or bond properly at specific pH levels.

TPS instruments are used to monitor water quality for Akubra's wet processing procedures.

“From felt-shrinking and dyeing, to hat forming, TPS is with us every step of the way.
Their fast, local servicing ensures that our hat production doesn’t miss a beat.”
